"Can I Check If You've Had My Donation?"

Yes; that's a very good idea!

If you are unsure if we have received your donation PLEASE email to ask.

There is NO other rescue, UK wide, offering the spectrum of services we give, especially in terms of funding aid to other organisations and low-income individuals.

Standing Order/Internet Banking

Donations

I'd like to set up a monthly automated payment, or an online payment, to you; how do I do it?

Email to:

ask@chapelhouse-persians.co.uk

We have actually set up a few links which enable you to either make a one off gift or, make a monthly donation.

We have several payment methods which are more easily described to you directly, depending on your own needs.

If you would like to donate using a debit or credit card, just email me and I will set up a special link for you to pay through.

E-mail: ask@chapelhouse-persians.co.uk

Please do not think that the sum you can afford to donate is 'too small' or insignificant. Our lowest donation is £3 a month, and the highest £100 a month. Every sum, no matter how small, is HUGELY important to me in the furtherance of my work. The small sums like £5, now amount to over £300 each month.

The Figures and Facts

If you want us to survive (and God knows, Persian owners and would-be owners all over Europe are always asking for help - I still get over 1000 requests a week for advice!!) - then please GIVE so that we get something back.

Those people who actually use our cat health and behavioural advice services, are, ashamedly, all people who have never given a penny. Isn't that shocking.

If I ever ask for a donation for my help, their 'urgent request', which I will have been asked to answer fully and immediately, suddenly goes away and they disappear!

And this - winter time - is when nearly EVERY cat coming in is unceremoniously dumped on us requiring a major dematt under general anaesthetic. We are just a dumping ground for most owners.

Note to 'Rehomers': You ought to be ashamed of yourself if you have delivered a badly matted Persian, or a cat with bad teeth, to any rescue centre, unless you have paid for the vet care in full. Sadly 9 out of 10 cats we receive is in an APPALLING state. And that's from owners like YOU!! Who claim to have loved their pets. I'm thoroughly disgusted.

Where are we supposed to get the funds for YOUR cat's urgent care? If we get (as we did this month) 9 cats needing GA and dematt - that is going to cost us over £2000. Disgusting. SORT OUT your pet's coat and teeth BEFORE you pass them on. Have some sense of responsibility!

Message to Sponsors, February 2008

For more detailed news of our sponsorship and funding issues, and stories of individual cats, see our 2008 Newsletters.

All gifts are very welcome indeed. If you are an existing sponsor, a BIG THANK YOU!

You will all see, if you are used to reading this page, how very frustrating and worrying is the constant battle for funds. It gets very wearing.

How Funds Are Used (Feb '08)

Some of the ways in which your funds are used:

Send sponsorship/gift enquiries to:

ask@chapelhouse-persians.co.uk

  • It is of critical importance that rescues have sufficient funds to address all eventualities in the care of those animals they take. Otherwise all we are doing is perpetuating their misery.

  • Many rescues (or single rescuers) 'collect' vast numbers of animals, and can't afford to treat them. And now,  we unexpectedly can't afford to either :-(

My name was Oliphantus....Fantus for short. I was one of the best Persians ever; my favourite activities were howling at the moon, and head butting. I died in 2006 from FIP, but I was lucky enough to have had a happy, though short, adopted life with new owners. Everybody misses me.
My name is Spot. I am owned by Cheryl-Anne's sister.
