Your story does not have to be very long or especially well-formatted; we will edit it as appropriate (for spelling, grammar etc!).
The only requirements are that your special interest story should be true and feature a Persian or pedigree cat.
It needs to be accompanied by at least one clear photograph of you and/or the cat(s) featured in the story.
We start off the special interest stories with a short piece written by our Rescue Manager; it is a very personal story and not an easy tale to share.
However, we feel it demonstrates the unusually perceptive qualities of some Persian cats that can somehow sense when they're required to offer comfort to an ailing person.
It would be especially interesting to hear your stories about Persian cats that you feel showed exceptional understanding of either human or animal suffering.
It is not the first time our Rescue Manager has observed these behaviours in Persians, and in all cases the cats were male.
Has anything like this come to your own attention?
Would you share it with us?
