I have seen many beds and baskets and I absolutely adore this one. I think it's exceptionally well made for the price, and my Persians adore it and took to it straight away. The padded bed inside the basket is soft and well made. The basket has no rough edges, and is very pretty to look at. There are other '2 tier' baskets available in stores but this beats them hands down! I highly recommend this product. The picture below shows the bed in my living room with my Cat 'Mungo' doing the modelling. (Mungo not included in sale!). Just a tip: baskets and beds are far more attractive to cats if you place them off the floor, on a surface or shelf. People who find that their pets don't use pet beds, don't understand the way cats' minds work. To feel secure, cats like to be in an elevated position.

The Flectabed is a veterinary approved reflective bed, which truly makes a difference to the lives of frail, older, or arthritic pets, since it reflects back the animal's own body heat far better than a standard pet bed. Warmth, as everyone knows, eases many joint conditions and gives a pet an increased sense of wellness. The bed has great appeal to all dogs and cats, of any age.

How It Works:

Flectabed is made using a revolutionary lightweight material called Flectalon; this is a web of aluminised polypropylene, which provides two major elements of thermal insulation. The first being that its multi layers trap air enabling the second element - the reflective surface, to reflect infra red body heat back up to the animal. Flectabed consists of an inner quilt containing the layers of aluminised polypropylene, and a fleece outer cover. Separate fleece and waterproof covers are available, in 4 sizes Small to Extra Large. Extensive studies have proved that even if the bed is put onto cold concrete the animals body heat would not be reduced as its unique properties have the ability to reflect all of the body heat back to the animal.

Sofa Loafer

Don't suppose your sofa looks something like this one? If it does, then YOU NEED HELP! We cannot offer you a psychiatrist - though you probably need one if you have a Persian collection - but we can offer you a sofa solution!:

This is the sofa belonging to me. (I'm Cheryl-Anne, the Rescue's/Webstore's Manager). These are three of my 5 Persians. The sofa was permanently full of fluff and the cats took all the space. Now, they all use the 'Sofa Loafer', leaving most of the sofa free of cats (and free of fluff!).

This is one of our best selling products and my cats have several of these. Superbly manufactured, each sofa loafer creates a 'lining' to your sofa in the area where your cat or dog most likes to sleep or sit. The fleece is thick and warm, and the edges give cats especially that sense of safety and security they like to have while resting. It protects your sofa wonderfully (no more fluff!) but also, it has a thick rubber non-slip back that holds it securely in place. The product is easily washable in a machine. Cats naturally 'gravitate' to the product because of its warm fleece but also its high sides, which all cats love in order to feel especially secure.

High Sided Luxury Fleece Bed - **NEXT DAY DELIVERY ON THIS ITEM**

This bed has especially high sides and is a lovely quality. The fleece is sumptuously thick and the base very well padded. It is the ultimate in cat (or small breed dog) cosiness.

High sides to a cat bed are especially important if you have a nervous or insecure cat. They like to feel that a bed fits them snugly, and offers protection. If you can place the bed in an elevated position, especially in the corner of a room, so much the better because it enhances the cat's sense of security. These beds are also superb for cats who go to kennel or cattery, because these so-called 'heated beds' cats often get in catteries are just not warm enough. Surprisingly a cat will better retain its body heat in an enclosed high sided bed than on a heat pad. All round, this gets my vote for being a beautiful product. It is just such a shame that pet manufacturers seem to believe everything to do with cats and dogs needs pawprint designs! WHy do they do it!? I will forgive them on this occasion but have to say I am heartily sick of paw print designs!

Large (87cm by 138cm), Extremely Sumptuous Sherpa Fleece Pet Duvet - Cats or Dogs - AVAILABLE FOR SAME DAY DESPATCH (PARCEL POST)

When I placed the order from the wholesaler for these sherpa fleece duvets, I did not realise how wonderfully chunky and large they would be. People who see these in the Rescue when they adopt their cats, have proved very partial! They are certainly big enough and very comfortable for sharing by multiple cats, or could even suit a larger breed dog; some people like to have them in their car's back seat for a lazy travelling mutt to repose on. The great thing is they fasten like a human style duvet cover, with popper fastenings, and the cover slips off nicely for a good hot wash or brush-down - or yoy can wash the whole thing in the washer at a cooler setting. The interior is stuffed with polyester filling for extra joint warmth. They are easy to dry in a tumble dryer and we can even obtain replacement covers (please ask).

A lot of fleece items I see in the pet stores are quite inferior fleece which after a couple of washes looks poor. These beds, conversely, are made of best quality fleece (with 'Blackwatch' tartan design) with ultra soft padding.

Sherpa Fleece Blankets - **AVAILABLE FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY**

These lovely thick sherpa fleece blankets are the perfect accompaniment to the sherpa fleece duvet above, or are just as gorgeous on their own. They wash extremely well, and I tend to do mine at 85 degrees and even then they come out great. They tumble dry fine too.

There are two sizes, one being 'Medium' at 30" by 50", and the other 'Large' at 50" by 60". Colours vary - we have Wine (a burgundy colour), Grey, and Blackwatch Tartan. The large ones are all 'Blackwatch'. (Thank goodness for a design with no pawprints!).
